The Franklin Guild encourages and supports the arts and creative expression in Franklin County.
Since 1989, the Guild—your neighbors, friends, area business people, educators, students, local government officials, artists, musicians, actors, writers, dancers, and craftspeople—has been making Franklin County a better place to live. For example, did you know that the giant metal sculpture of the daffodil at Benjamin Franklin Middle School is a lasting testament to the creativity of Franklin County youth working with Jeff Fetty, a nationally recognized metal sculptor? Professional performing artists in drama, dance, and music provide creative enrichment for core curriculum concepts twice each year for all students, Kindergarten through the eighth grade. Working to build and encourage the arts in Franklin County through special workshops for high school students, other special populations, and public performances and exhibits, the Franklin Guild offers arts for all ages.
The Guild and its members work to build a strong, nurturing, creative environment for artistic expression in our community. The motivation is simple - the arts encourage creative thinking and innovation in all aspects of community life and are a key component of a strong economic, social, and vibrant community.
The Franklin Guild expands Franklin County’s horizons by making non-traditional arts programming available locally while preserving the creative traditions of our unique cultural heritage. We're building on a "Great Creative Tradition.” Be a part of the arts in Franklin County. Become a member of the Franklin Guild - the benefits are great, the work is important and your membership is tax deductible.
